Hickory Tree 【ヒッコリー】

The difference of the sapwood and the duramen is clear. The sapwood is white, and the duramen is light brownish red. The grain is generally straight but sometimes has wavy stripes with some un-uniformity. It is very shock‐resistant. It is not easy to be processed for it is rather solid. The grain is a little coarse but the surface finish is good.
