Tsuga Sieboldii 【栂】

It is a evergreen needle‐leaved tree belonging to Tsuga genus of Pinaceae family. The difference of the sapwood and the duramen is very clear. The sapwood is light brown and the duramen has light color. The quality of the wood is heavier and harder in the needle leaved trees. The grain is straight and the texture is coarse. Drying is easy but very fragile.
