Japanese Bigleaf Magnolia 【朴】

It belongs to of Magnolia genus of Magnoliaceae family and one of the broad leaved deciduous trees. The difference of the sapwood and the duramen is clear. The sapwood is grayish white and the duramen is dark green tinged with grey. The annual ring is rather clear. The quality of the wood is dense and homogeneous. The deviation is little and it is easy to be processed.
