Acer Pictum 【イタヤカエデ】

The difference of the sapwood and the duramen is not clear. The color is either reddish-white or light brownish-red. The annual ring is obscure. There is some false duramen. The quality of the wood is heavy and hard. The processing is a bit difficult. The surface finish is easy and it has silky gloss.
