Hovenia Dulcis 【玄圃梨】

It is a broad leaved deciduous tree belonging to Hovenia dulcis genus of Rhamnaceae family. The color is brownish red when it gets older. The quality of the wood, similar to that of Japanese Zelkova or Japanese Bigleaf Magnolia, is rather heavy and hard but processing is easy. The texture is elegant.
